ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (BCA)

Application Procedure

Obtain the form from the University Admission Offices located at the following places :-

or purchase the same at nominated Branches of Banks/Book Stores (Details available on the website i.e., www.chitkara.edu.in) on payment of Rs 1000/- in cash.

Candidates can also request for Application Form through registered post by mailing their request alongwith a DD of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh at the following address:

Candidates are required to ensure that they submit the completed Application Form, in the envelope provided, to reach on or before the last date of submitting the completed application form. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted.

Eligibility

The candidate should have passed .
12th level examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% or CGPA equivalent to 50% in any discipline.
It is mandatory for the candidate to have Pass grade in each subject of qualifying examination.
A candidate having compartment in any subject will not be eligible.
Candidates appearing in the final examination of Class 12 in 2012 are also eligible to apply provisionally for the admission to the above programs.
Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed 12th or equivalent examination not before 2011 or those who are appearing in it in 2012.
If an applicant is found ineligible, after admission to the University even at a later date, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to the verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidate. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Student Counselling

Candidates, who apply in the prescribed form for admission to the Bachelor of Computer Applications program shall be invited for Counselling through SMS/Email/ Admission Micro Site on the basis of their merit in Class 12. The candidate should bring the documents as mentioned in the admission procedure booklet. The Counselling venue will be given on website/intimated through email/SMS. All candidates are advised to go through Counselling instructions/admission instructions very carefully. Ignorance of laid down instruction shall be the responsibility of the candidate.

If a candidate does not personally appear before the Admission Committee for counseling/Interview on the date or time specified, his/her seat shall be offered to the next candidate.

Fee deposition & Seat Confirmation

The selected candidate will have to remit the prescribed fees by way of cash or demand draft drawn in favour of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh on confirmation of the seat and the acceptance of the branch allotted.
