Admission Procedure for B. Pharmacy
Application Procedure
Obtain the Form from the University Offices located at the following places:
a) Chitkara Admission Office: Saraswati Kendra, SCO 160-161, Sector 9 C, Chandigarh 160 009, India.
b) Chitkara University Campus, Himachal Pradesh, Pinjore – Barotiwala Highway, 13 Kms. From Pinjore, 32Kms. From Chandigarh.
c) Chitkara University Campus, Punjab, Chandigarh – Patiala National Highway, Tehsil Rajpura, Dist. Patiala, Punjab, India.
or purchase the same at nominated Branches of Banks / Book Stores (details available on the website i.e. www.chitkara.edu.in) on payment of Rs. 1000/- in cash.
Candidates can also request for Application Form through registered post by mailing their request along with a DD of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Chitkara University payable at
Chandigarh to the following address:

Download the application form from the University website www.chitkara.edu.in and send it to Chitkara University Admissions Office along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/-
drawn in favour of Chitkara University, payable at Chandigarh.
Candidates are required to ensure that they submit the duly filled Application Form along with the relevant documents in the enclosed self-addressed envelope
to reach on or before the last date of submitting the completed application form. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted.
Eligibility
The minimum academic qualification for admission to the Pharmacy program is a minimum aggregate of 50% in class X and aggregate of 50% in class XII or its equivalent* . A candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Maths or Biology as one of the optional subjects and should have 50% overall aggregate in all the subjects. It is mandatory for the candidate to have Pass grade in each subject of qualifying examination.
*Examinations Equivalent to 10+2
- The 10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.

Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.

H.S.C. Vocational Examination.

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

Only candidates born on or after October 01,1990 can apply. (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken
as authentic).

Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination not before 2010 or those who are appearing in it in 2012.

If an applicant is found ineligible, after admission to the University even at a later date, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to the verification of
facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidate. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.
Counselling Process
Candidates, who apply in the prescribed form for
admission to the Bachelor of Pharmacy program shall be invited for Counselling through SMS/Email/Admission Micro Site on the basis of their merit as per aggregate % of Marks obtained in the +2 examination from recognised board. The Counselling venue will be given on website/intimated through email/SMS. All candidates are advised to go through Counselling
instructions/admission instructions very carefully. Ignorance of laid down instruction shall be the responsibility of the candidate.
Fee deposition & Seat Confirmation
The selected candidate will have to remit the prescribed fees by way of cash or demand draft drawn in favour of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh on confirmation of the seat.
