Admission Procedure for B. Arch. Application Procedure
Obtain the Form from the University Offices located at the following places:
a) Chitkara Admission Office: Saraswati Kendra, SCO 160-161, Sector 9 C, Chandigarh 160 009, India.
b) Chitkara University Campus, Himachal Pradesh, Pinjore – Barotiwala Highway, 13 Kms. From Pinjore, 32Kms. From Chandigarh. c) Chitkara University Campus, Punjab, Chandigarh – Patiala National Highway, Tehsil Rajpura, Dist. Patiala, Punjab, India. or purchase the same at nominated Branches of Banks / Book Stores (details available on the website i.e. www.chitkara.edu.in) on payment of Rs. 1000/- in cash. Candidates can also request for Application Form through registered post by mailing their request along with a DD of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh to the following address: Chitkara University Admissions Office Saraswati Kendra, SCO 160-161, Sector 9 C, Chandigarh 160 009, India. Phone: 0172-4691800. OR Download the application form from the University website www.chitkara.edu.in and send it to Chitkara University Admissions Office along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Chitkara University, payable at Chandigarh. Candidates are required to ensure that they submit the duly filled Application Form along with the relevant documents in the enclosed self-addressed envelope to reach on or before the last date of submitting the completed application form. The eligibility criteria (as per Council of Architecture Minimum Standards of Education) for admission to 5-year B.Arch. shall be as follows:
Qualifying Test -NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)
Prospective applicants desirous of taking admission to First year of undergraduate course in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture) in India take National Aptitude Test in Architecture
(NATA). It is a national level online test conducted by NIASA (National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture), Pune – Academic Unit of Council of Architecture (for more information visit www.niasa.org)
The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportions, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking that are related to the specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test can be taken up after 10th standard and the score obtained is valid for 2 years. Improvement of scores can be made by taking the test any number of times. Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture is a designated test centre for conducting NATA since 2006. Over the last four years more than 900 students have appeared for NATA from CSPA. The test can be taken on a time fixed with prior appointment at the Test Centre. The admissions shall be carried out on MERIT based on the valid NATA score and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio 50:50 If an applicant is found ineligible, after admission to the University even at a later date, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to the verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidate. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final. Fee deposition & Seat Confirmation
The selected candidate will have to remit the prescribed fees by way of cash or demand draft drawn in favour of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh on confirmation of the seat.
